Trade in Tajikistan

Tajikistan was the world’s 141st largest exporter of goods and 173rd largest exporter of commercial services in 2025. Export values were $2087 and $194 million USD respectively. Tajikistan’s top export category was fuels and mining products, followed by manufactures, and agricultural products. In 2023, Tajikistan’s main export destination markets for goods and services trade were to China, Kazakhstan and Turkey, with trade representing 59.08 per cent of GDP. In terms of imports, Tajikistan is the world’s 126th largest importer of goods and 150th largest importer of commercial services. Import values were $6345 and $970 million USD respectively in 2025. Tajikistan’s top import category was manufactures, followed by agricultural products and fuels and mining products.  Leading import partners were Russian Federation, China and Kazakhstan. Tajikistan is part of 4 different Regional Trade Agreements, including with Treaty on a Free Trade Area between members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Ukraine – Tajikistan.
