Trade4MSMEs
The Trade4MSMEs website is a platform developed to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) engaging in international trade, as well as policymakers and researchers working at the nexus of MSME and trade issues. Developed by the WTO Informal Working Group on MSMEs, the website was launched in December 2021.
This site is meant to be a living document. We invite users to submit feedback, including suggestions for new or revised resources, clarifications, and any other input.
The Trade Game
Discover the Trade Game, a choose your own adventure export readiness assessment tool to test your ability to effectively navigate the challenges and critical decision-making moments faced by small traders. Developed jointly with The Chartered Institute of Export and International Trade, the Trade Game was launched in June 2023.
This game is a pilot project and players are invited to submit feedback.
The WTO Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Informal Working Group
MSMEs face a number of obstacles when seeking to participate in international trade. To address these obstacles, 88 WTO members signed a statement at the WTO’s 11th Ministerial Conference (MC11) in December 2017 declaring their intention to create an Informal Working Group on MSMEs to explore ways in which WTO members could better support MSMEs’ participation in global trade.
