Portugal was the world’s 47th largest exporter of goods and 30th largest exporter of commercial services in 2022. Export values were $82.46 billion and $46.54 billion USD respectively. Portugal’s top export category was Manufactures, followed by Machinery and transport equipment, and Agricultural products. In 2022, Portugal’s main export destination markets for goods and services trade were to Spain, France and Germany, with trade representing 101.61 per cent of GDP. In terms of imports, Portugal is the world’s 39th largest importer of goods and 44th largest importer of commercial services. Import values were $115.08 billion and $23.88 billion USD respectively in 2022. Portugal’s top import category was Manufactures, followed by Machinery and transport equipment and Fuels and mining products. Leading import partners were Spain, Germany and France.
