Libya was the world’s 67th largest exporter of goods and  largest exporter of commercial services in 2021. Export values were 29 billion USD. Libya’s top export category was fuels and mining products, followed by manufactures, and agricultural products. In 2018, Libya’s main export destination markets for goods and services trade were to Italy, China and Spain, with trade representing 0 per cent of GDP. In terms of imports, Libya is the world’s 84th largest importer of goods and 164th largest importer of commercial services. Import values were $19 billion and $47 million USD respectively in 2021. Libya’s top import category was manufactures, followed by agricultural products and fuels and mining products.  Leading import partners were Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and China. Libya is part of 2 different Regional Trade Agreements, such as Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and Global System of Trade Preferences among Developing Countries (GSTP).
