Djibouti was the world’s 124th largest exporter of goods and 143rd largest exporter of commercial services in 2025. Export values were $306 and $1173 million USD respectively. Djibouti’s top export category was manufactures, followed by agricultural products, and fuels and mining products. In 2023, Djibouti’s main export destination markets for goods and services trade were to Ethiopia, United Arab Emirates and China, with trade representing 241.24 per cent of GDP. In terms of imports, Djibouti is the world’s 135th largest importer of goods and 162nd largest importer of commercial services. Import values were $7357 and $729 million USD respectively in 2025. Djibouti’s top import category was manufactures, followed by agricultural products and fuels and mining products.  Leading import partners were China, India and United Arab Emirates. Djibouti is part of 2 different Regional Trade Agreements, including with Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) – Accession of Egypt, and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) – Accession of Seychelles.
