Belize was the world’s 145th largest exporter of goods and 108th largest exporter of commercial services in 2021. Export values were $423 and $571 million USD respectively. Belize’s top export category was agricultural products, followed by manufactures, and fuels and mining products. In 2020, Belize’s main export destination markets for goods and services trade were to the the United Kingdom, the United States and Ireland, with trade representing 80.36 per cent of GDP. In terms of imports, Belize is the world’s 147th largest importer of goods and 133rd largest importer of commercial services. Import values were $1,061 and $278 million USD respectively in 2021. Belize’s top import category was manufactures, followed by agricultural products and fuels and mining products. Leading import partners were the United States, China and Mexico. Belize is part of 3 different Regional Trade Agreements, including Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM), and EU – CARIFORUM States. |
