Trade in Myanmar

Myanmar was the world’s 90th largest exporter of goods and 130th largest exporter of commercial services in 2025. The export value of goods was $14566 million USD. Myanmar’s top export category was agricultural products, followed by manufactures, and fuels and mining products. In 2023, Myanmar’s main export destination markets for goods and services trade were to Thailand, China and Japan, with trade representing 55.1 per cent of GDP. In terms of imports, Myanmar is the world’s 101st largest importer of goods and 139th largest importer of commercial services. The import value of goods was $14790 million USD in 2025. Myanmar’s top import category was manufactures, followed by fuels and mining products and agricultural products.  Leading import partners were China, Singapore and Thailand. Myanmar is part of 9 different Regional Trade Agreements, including with ASEAN – Australia – New Zealand, and ASEAN – China.
