Trade in Jamaica

Jamaica was the world’s 132nd largest exporter of goods and 81st largest exporter of commercial services in 2021. Export values were $1,441 and $2,956 million USD respectively. Jamaica’s top export category was fuels and mining products, followed by agricultural products, and manufactures. In 2020, Jamaica’s main export destination markets for goods and services trade were to the United States, Canada and Netherlands, with trade representing 65.86 per cent of GDP. In terms of imports, Jamaica’s import values were $5,976 and $2,469 million USD respectively in 2021. Jamaica’s top import category was manufactures, followed by agricultural products and fuels and mining products. Leading import partners were the United States, China and Brazil. Jamaica is part of 3 different Regional Trade Agreements, such as Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM),  and EU – CARIFORUM States.
