Iran was the world’s 39th largest exporter of goods and 71st largest exporter of commercial services in 2025. The export value of goods was $11762 million USD. Iran’s top export category was fuels and mining products, followed by manufactures, and agricultural products. In 2022, Iran’s main export destination markets for goods and services trade were to China, Iraq and United Arab Emirates, with trade representing 52.06 per cent of GDP. In terms of imports, Iran is the world’s 55th largest importer of goods and 49th largest importer of commercial services. The import value of goods was $66764 million USD in 2025. Iran’s top import category was manufactures, followed by agricultural products and fuels and mining products.  Leading import partners were United Arab Emirates, China and Turkey. Iran is part of 3 different Regional Trade Agreements, such as Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) – Iran and Global System of Trade Preferences among Developing Countries (GSTP).
