| Iran was the world’s 48th largest exporter of goods and 74th largest exporter of commercial services in 2022. Export values were $97.85 billion and $6.53 billion USD respectively. Iran’s top export category was Fuels and mining products, followed by Manufactures, and Chemicals. In 2022, Iran’s main export destination markets for goods and services trade were to China, Iraq and United Arab Emirates, with trade representing 51.60 per cent of GDP. In terms of imports, Iran is the world’s 56th largest importer of goods and 60th largest importer of commercial services. Import values were $58.55 billion and $11.96 billion USD respectively in 2022. Iran’s top import category was Manufactures, followed by Agricultural products and Machinery and transport equipment. Leading import partners were China, United Arab Emirates and India. Iran is part of 3 different Regional Trade Agreements, including Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) – Iran. |
