Trade in Republic of the Congo

Congo was the world’s 117th largest exporter of goods and 168th largest exporter of commercial services in 2025. The export value of goods was $8685 million USD. Congo’s top export category was fuels and mining products, followed by agricultural products, and manufactures. In 2023, Congo’s main export destination markets for goods and services trade were to China, Netherlands and India, with trade representing 94.25 per cent of GDP. In terms of imports, Congo is the world’s 128th largest importer of goods and 118th largest importer of commercial services. The import values of goods was $7454 million USD in 2025. Congo’s top import category was manufactures, followed by agricultural products and fuels and mining products.  Leading import partners were China, France and Gabon. Congo is part of 3 different Regional Trade Agreements, including with Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC), and China – Congo.
